Robert Hrouda Together with his wife Monique, Robert is co-owner of DanceSport International. He has been teaching in the Seattle area for 15 years, and enjoys teaching all styles of dance, to all levels of dancers. Monique and Robert currently compete professionally in American Smooth and Showdance.Robert has a Member's degree with the United States Terpsichorean Society in International Standard, and an Associate standing in International Latin. He also has a Member's degree in both American Smooth and Rhythm. He is a member of N.D.C.A, and is available for pro/am competition. Robert is a co-organizer of the SEATTLE STAR BALL.
Monique Hrouda Monique brings 12 years of ballet training to enhance her ballroom coaching, and has been teaching in the Seattle area since 1987. Monique is also the primary coach for the USABDA NW Performance and Formation Teams, which are headquartered at DanceSport. Monique enjoys coaching competitive couples as well as pro/am students, and is available for pro/am competition. Monique and Robert currently compete professionally in American Smooth and Showdance. Monique has a Fellow's degree with the United States Terpsichorean Society in International Standard and Latin; and a Member's degree in American Smooth and Rhythm. Alexandria Hawkins Alexandria is a 1998 Challenge of Champions Rising Star of the Year and a 1999 Ohio Star Ball Rising Start Champion. She is an Associate of the Terpsichore. Contact Alexandria at 206-380-0513
Peter Mant and
Shannon Knauss-Mant Peter started teaching at Dancesport in 1991. He has been dancing since he was 8 years old in England and is a former Amateur winner in England and Europe. A top 48 finalist in the Open Amateur and the top 24 in the Closed British at Blackpool England. Open and Rising Star Latin Professional finalist in the United States. He enjoys teaching motivated dancers and is available for pro/am try-outs. Peter travels to competes at 10-15 major competitions with his students every year and has won numerous scholarships and top teacher prizes. Additionally, Peter is an A+B+C+ Adjudicator, and has Associate and Member degrees with Terpsichore (USA) & UK Alliance (England). He is a registered Ballroom and Latin Judge with the N.D.C.A. When not dancing he also is a progressive house music DJ and is a major sports fan. She had years of Ballet, Jazz & Disco before receiving Ballroom certification. Shannon has literally taught at least a thousand people to dance. She has a great personality for teaching large groups of people at parties, weddings or special events. She is also an experienced Emcee and DJ. Her humor and music is appropriate for all ages. She has taught at the University of Washington and is an approved and registered dance instructor for the Seattle School District. Also a registered professional with the National Dance Council of America, holds an Associate degree with Arthur Murray International, and a Member's degree with the United States Terpsichorean Society in American Style Ballroom and Rhythm dance and an Associate Degree in International Standard. She is a registered judge with the National Dance Council.
